Went to my first comicon with some friends this weekend, and never expected the pride and passion that goes into these costumes.
Some of these guys have celebrity status and everywhere you go they all know each other and take pride in the detail in each others costumes.
Here are some pics I took that day
Cosplay is a type of performance art in which fans wear costumes with accessories that represent a specific character or idea. Drawn together by similar interests, Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role playing.
Most people uneducated in the world was of the opinion cosplay first gained popularity through loyalists of the original Star Trek series (to which comic con and other similar events owe their existence) but favorite sources include broader Sci Fi and TV, comic books, anime and manga, and video games (some are actually creative enough to opt for their own character or idea creations) inanimate objects are given anthropomorphic forms and it is not unusual to see gender switching (women are free to recreate male characters as their own female interpretation) and men secure enough in their sexuality often dress as female characters.

A Warriors Lament
Posted: April 14, 2015 in Art, Barbarian, Barbarians, Literature, Mythology, Photography, Poetry, VikingI look at the reflection in the water
and see what i have become
a shadow of what I once was
A man who has lost his way
The warrior who was strong and proud
Is now gone and I see my true soul
I need the knowledge and wisdom
To find the inner peace
to walk the path as a warrior once more so I can lead and protect
And see what i am truly meant to be
I look to the sky for inspiration to gain the heart and courage to feel that barbarian spirit so that one day I can enter Valhalla holding my sword with pride.
The fire that burns
Posted: March 8, 2015 in Art, Barbarians, Literature, Mythology, Photography, PoetrySorrows have come and gone
Watched as they almost became my God
I made the decision to cast it out
It fed the fire that burned me up
The lie to feel the pain that spurs on the black inside
The path no one plans to take brings me lower
This blackness stands over me it feeds the fire that burned us all.
